The Moss Man
Here I am with my mossy friend outside an antiques store in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia in June 2005. The trailer for that Korean monster movie 'The Host' looks great. I still can remember watching all those Godzilla movies on WLVI TV 56's "Creature Double Feature" as a kid.
I'm a liberal, a Catholic and a hockey fan who wishes he could save the Democratic Party, the Vatican and the NHL from themselves. I think George W. Bush surrounds himself with yes-men as much as Saddam Hussein ever did. I'm proud to work every day in Boston, birthplace of the American Revolution and the telephone; and yet, I sometimes feel as if we're playing the part of France to New York's England - we feel both culturally superior and envious of our rival. I'm often impatient, which maybe why I've been so reluctant to enter the dating scene (you only get one chance to make a first impression). I read about global warming, and I fear that my niece (b. 11-1-05) will be living in some sf wasteland when she's my age. But in the meantime, I'm her godfather as well. I'll try to show her the great outdoors, and try not to clutter her faith with trivia like the Virgin's Mary favorite flower. I guess my motto is: It's not all about you, it's not all about now.
